Battle of the Numbers

On Health Insurance

To the Editor:

The column exemplifies one of the reasons we have consistently failed with health care reform. The two sides of the debate — Republicans versus Democrats or single-payer advocates versus those who favor the marketplace — spend all of their time fighting each other and refuting each other’s statistics, rather than trying to find common ground.

We can argue and argue over who is right, when we should be sitting down together to solve a problem.
